Bobby A. Crotts

President and Chief Executive Officer

Tennessee native and graduate of Tennessee Technological University, Bobby has almost 50 years of experience in the pipeline construction industry. He has been involved in every phase of the process of building natural gas, crude oil, water, chemicals and refined products pipelines. During his career he has completed projects throughout the continental United States, Russia, West Africa, the Middle East, Bolivia, Venezuela and Ecuador.

Bobby joined Associated Pipeline Contractors in 1968 as a laborer, laying the foundation for a life long journey in the pipeline industry. Through various pipeline companies over the next two decades, he progressed from an Engineer to Project Engineer and on to a Project Manager at Gregory and Cook, Inc. in 1984. He rejoined Associated Pipe Line Contractors in 1988 but this time as their Vice President, responsible for safety, estimating, construction and business development. In 1994, he co-founded U.S. Pipeline, Inc. and was instrumental in its success as a reputable construction company acting as Executive Vice-President and later as President.

In 2003, Bobby established Appalachian Pipeline Contractors, LLP with his business partners Jimmy and Andrew. Acting as President and CEO he has navigated the company through some difficult years in the pipeline construction industry to become the reliable and successful company it is today.

Jimmy L. Crotts

Executive Vice President and General Superintendent

Jimmy has nearly four decades of experience in the pipeline construction industry. Starting his career with Gregory & Cook, Inc. in the late 70s, he worked his way up through the company. Jimmy began as a laborer, moved up to a Heavy Equipment Operator, then Project Foreman and finally Project Superintendent before he left in 1997. He joined U.S. Pipeline as Vice President and General Superintendent, overseeing and being responsible for all field construction operations until 2002. In 2003, he co-founded Appalachian Pipeline Contractors, LLP and has served as Executive Vice President and General Superintendent on projects that span the continent from Washington State to Florida and many placed in between.

Frederick A. Lysak

Senior Vice President

Fred began his career in pipeline construction during the 1970s in Canada. Starting as a laborer he very quickly moved to managerial positions, and in his early 20s he was assuming supervisory responsibilities. Moving from management to ownership, he became a partner in Bolder Concrete, Ltd, a company that subcontracted to the pipeline construction field. His early success led him to become the President of CRC-Evans Pipeline Equipment Division where he managed world-wide operations. In 2012, Fred joined Appalachian Pipeline Contractors, LLP as a Project Manager and secured an ownership interest in 2013. Fred currently acts as the Vice President of Construction and has spurred Appalachian’s growth throughout the USA.

Jana Metcalfe Crooks

Vice President Finance

Jana has spent much of her life in the pipeline industry, growing up in the Middle East as a “pipeline kid.” She began her formal work in the industry on the North Slope of Alaska in the mid 1980s. Jana joined her father at U.S. Pipeline in 1998 and initially worked in various field offices performing job cost functions, such as weekly cost reports and monthly financial statements. She moved to the head office in Houston in 2000 to assume the role of Vice President of Finance and take an ownership stake in the company. Jana continued her career in the pipeline industry when she joined Appalachian Pipeline Contractors, LLP as a partner in 2007. She oversees all financial aspects of the company, as well as risk management and contract administration.
